A validated analytical method, based on thermal desorption (TD) coupled to gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry
(MS), is used for air-quality measurements of volatile organic compounds in indoor and outdoor air, including alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, aldehydes, alcohols, chlorides, esters, ketones, terpenes, amides, carbon disulfide and isocyanates.
