dc.description.abstract | This paper describes a method for identifying a person while walking by means of a triaxial accelerometer attached to the waist. Human gait is considered as a dynamical system whose attractor is reconstructed by time delay vectors. A Spectral Analysis on the state space reconstruction is used to characterize the attractor. The method is compared to other common methods used in gait recognition tasks through a preliminary test. |
