A uniplanar filter based on two coplanar-waveguide odd-mode resonators is presented. The resonator feeding point is easily reconfigured using PIN diodes. As a result, the filter features reconfigurable bandwidth. A multimodal circuit model which takes into account the interaction between the two coplanar waveguide fundamental modes (even and odd) is derived and used to design a 2-GHz prototype. The experimental results show two relative-bandwidth states (14% and 21%) and low loss (1.1 dB), thus validating the filter concept and multimodal analysis.
