Realitzar recerca aplicada en les àrees de:
- Modelització, identificació i simulació de processos industrials continus i discontinus
- Control avançat de sistemes dinàmics
- Optimització i satisfacció de restriccions
- Supervisió i diagnòstic de fallades en processos industrials
- Control tolerant a fallades
amb l'objectiu final d'integrar aquestes tècniques en sistemes software que permetin incrementar l'autonomia dels processos controlats.
