Análise de problemas não-lineares de condução térmica pelo método dos elementos de contorno

Abstract

Apresenta-se a solucáo numérica de problemas náo lineares de conducáo térmica em regime permanente através do Método dos Elementos de Contorno com a aplicas50 da Transformada de Kirchhoff (TK). Esta transformada lineariza a equacáo diferencial e restringe as nao linearidades as condisoes de contorno e de interface entre sub-regioes. O sistema de equasoes algébricas correspondente a uma certa discretizacáo do contorno em geral é náo linear e neste caso a solu~áo é obtida por um algoritmo de Newton-Raphson tomando-se partido da expressáo integral da TK.

The numerical solution of nonlinear steady-state heat transfer problems using the Boundary Element Method is presented with the application of Kirchhoff Transform (KT). This transform linearizes the differential equation and restricts the nonlinear terms to the boundary conditions and sub-regions interfaces. The resulting system of algebraic equations corresponding to a given boundary discretization is normally nonlinear and in this case the solution is obtained by a Newton-Raphson algorithm which uses the integral KT equation.
