The liquid phase pollutant degradation efficiencies of various new photoactive material, recently developed, need to be established. A preliminary study has shown that some of these catalysts are efficient under "pure" visible light, but while UV light is effective towards a large spectrum of chemical compounds, some compounds seem to be non reactive under pure visible light. The main objective of the study is to perform a more exhaustive and rigorous study of compounds of various chemical families as well as small but characteristic compounds, under a well determined light exposure, various pH conditions, etc ... For a design of industrial applications and commercial development of these materials, a perfect knowledge of the performances but also limits is required.
