Desarrollo open-source de un sistema de balanceado de carga para servicios web

Abstract

[ABSTRACT] The Enterprise Prevision Mallorquina wants to replace a portion of the web structure with one that has the same performance and be cheaper than the existing. The project will consist; on one hand, based on the company's needs, to deploy an open source environment that replaces and add some improvements to the current environment. On the other hand, also will consist in making stress's tests current system and the project. These tests will carry out using a web benchmark that will give us the average response time of both systems will be compared later. Two types of tests will be performed; one of them will consist to send one request by second during a certain time for checking that our system serves all requests received. The other test will be to carry a heavy load of request in a short time for checking if our system supports large periods of stress. System security will be analyzed in detail and compared with theory. The results show that proposed system can perform the same function as the current system obtaining a similar average response time.

[RESUMEN] La empresa Previsión Mallorquina desea reemplazar una parte de la estructura web por otra que tenga el mismo rendimiento y sea más económica que la actual. La estructura web alberga dos páginas web.

El proyecto consistirá, por una parte, basándonos en las necesidades de la empresa, desplegar un entorno open source que substituya y añada ciertas mejoras al entorno actual.

Por otro lado; consistirá también en la realización de pruebas de estrés tanto el sistema actual como en el del proyecto. Estas pruebas se realizarán mediante un benchmark web que nos aportará información sobre el tiempo medio de respuesta de los dos sistemas que posteriormente serán comparados. Se realizarán dos tipos de prueba; una de ellas consistirá en enviar una petición por segundo durante un periodo tiempo determinado para comprobar que nuestro sistema sirve todas las peticiones recibidas. La otra consistirá en realizar una gran carga de peticiones en un periodo de tiempo corto para comprobar si nuestro sistema soporta grandes periodos de estrés. La seguridad del sistema será analizada detalladamente y comparada con lo que indica la teoría.

Los resultados obtenidos prueban que el sistema propuesto puede realizar la misma función que el sistema actual obteniendo un tiempo medio de respuesta similar.
