English: The aim of this work is to analyze how topography and grown roughness can affect wind farms installations. We will use techniques of computational fluid dynamics, with ANSYS 12.1 tools package, which includes the solver, Fluent. Gambit 2.2.30 is also used for pre-processing. This work will begin with an introduction on wind energy and the main foundations of the power used, wind, as well as the different topographic situations. In the second section, we will explain the process of creation and adaptation of the geometries for the simulation, with the corresponding mesh and we will afterwards proceed with the simulations. In the third and last section, the results of simulations will be presented and analyzed, discussing the advantages and drawbacks of each geometry and the consequent effect on the flow. Finally, a conclusion will summarize the main results of this work.
