dc.description.abstract | The main object of the work has been an analysis of the transient behaviour of a tank containing a liquified gas before its failure due to overpressure generated by a heat input from an external fire. The tank behaviour has been simulated by means of a commercial program and the trend of the most important parameters (internal pressure, temperature of the contents, of the shell of the tank, etc.) have been analysed as a function of time. |
