dc.description.abstract | This work is a combination of research and application of the solar cooling possibilities that nowadays the market is able to offer to provide the necessary welfare and comfort to the residents of a current building. The first steps of the project introduce us into the world of the chillers and the solar collectors, focusing the study in the wide range of products that can be actually found. Their features, process and stages are announced. The building of the work is largely studied so that its demands of heating cooling and domestic hot water can be known to fulfil what it really needs. Some European and Spanish standards are followed to carry out the calculations and get the proper results. Both processes, the way of obtain the energy from the sun and the procedure to transform it into cold, are deeply studied. Several solar types of collectors and chiller technologies are taken into account. Under the same conditions, they are analyzed in order to find out which solution is the suitable one. As far as this study is concern, some conclusions regarding the best option for the building studied are taken based on well known and trustable criterions. |
