Zaragoza Bagüés, Kyra
After having seen many shows, films and series, the author observed that there is a lack of representation of certain minority groups (queer, disabled, neurodivergent and poc, between others) or a bad one that portrays really negative stereotypes that affect the publics perception of these communities and therefore, their interactions with them if they cross paths. This project aimed to analyze the actual representation of these groups and gather opinions and experiences from people that fall under those identities on how to avoid bad representation and how to create the good one. After all the information was compiled, the author designed a set of characters by a silhouette method that followed the guidelines proposed, for a future web series that will be posted on social media that is aimed at teens between 14 and 20 years, parents and adults that like cartoons and/or identify with one or multiple of the identities treated. The project could have had more visual development if it had a bigger production or more time, since the amount of work that it would take, was underestimated. OBJECTIVES: 1.3 General objectives of the TFG Create a character bible Promote the social inclusion of marginalized groups 1.4 Specific objectives of the TFG Research what the standard format is for character bibles and create one based on the guidelines obtained Develop own characters and their interpersonal relationships Investigate the representation of queer, neurodivergent, disabled and other racial groups; analyze the current situation and apply the knowledge to the characters based on the opinions of people from these groups Produce educational content in a light and digestible way that can reach audiences and normalize the experiences they talk about

This thesis consists of the design and the implementation of a melee combat
system intended for Action RPG-like video games. It focuses on giving the player more
options than the existing combat systems while maintaining the fluency of the most
dynamic titles.
Before diving into the design, the thesis builds a theoretical basis covering the
fundamentals of combat systems, along the analysis of four of the most popular melee
combat systems that had closer relation to the problem presented. The four games
studied for this thesis are: Bloodborne, Nioh, Absolver and For Honor. The analysis of
the games consist of a general description of the combat, a deep dive into the mechanics
composing the system, a list of aspects affecting cognitive load and a description on
what elements made the combat stand out from the others of the same genre.
With the knowledge gained, the project will then explain in depth the design
process followed. The first part consists of covering initial design choices such as
possible approaches or mechanics and setting up the design pillars for the decisions to
follow. For the second part, the initial design of the combat system is developed, with
an explanation of the system structure, the controls, and the definition of all the
mechanics.
For the practical part of the project and in order to put the idea to the test, a
Unity prototype is developed. The project describes the overall structure of the code by
going through the main scripts and covering the different behaviors. As playtesting was
being performed during the prototype’s development, changes in the original design are
also explained after the prototype. The practical part ends up with the description of the
tutorial, implemented to gather specific data from the playtesters.
Finally, with the data gathered from the tests and all the feedback received, the
project formulates a conclusion on the original intention of the design and explains its
future intentions.

This research project embarks on a journey to explore and harness the narrative potential of
One-Page Role-Playing Games (OPRPGs). It is set to identify, compare and explore common elements
in successful games. In order to validate the results, it materialized the knowledge extracted into
three tangible materials: a design guide, an infographic and a one-page RPG made from scratch using
the previous two, and put it to the test through different methods of playtesting.

Hernández Poll, Irene
Within the field of project management, conventional tools often lack elements
capable of engaging and motivating users. They can lead to negative experiences,
resulting in unproductive and inefficient teams. To address this issue, this thesis
introduces the use of gamification principles applied to project management tools
through a new application, Beezy. The main focus of this project is the development of
a prototype so that this innovative gamified project management tool can be tested.
This document starts with a small introduction to the problem and the main objectives
that the project tries to accomplish, like an extensive research on the best software to
develop the application, a study of the market for both gamified applications and
project management tools, and the adaptation and development of a simple
singleplayer simulation of Beezy.
Then it goes to an extensive state of the art, where all the relevant research topics are
tackled, and a definition of Scrum, the methodology used to develop the prototype.
After that, the development process of the project is explained, including an
introduction to the softwares used, a presentation of the core functionality that can be
found in the prototype, an analysis of the use cases, and finally, a description of the
different challenges that were present in the making of Beezy.
In the hope of validating the project, a suite of playtesting sessions and interviews
were carried out, which gave valuable insights on the state of the application and
possible future actions.
Finally, through the development and evaluation of Beezy’s prototype, several critical
conclusions were drawn - which can be read in the last section of the document- . The
selection of the right software is a crucial step to developing a well-rounded
application, as well as a good planification. The prototype ended up having a few
usability issues, and although not exactly aligned to the original design, it had an
overall positive feedback after testing.

L'app està destinada a qualsevol persona interessada

Tanmateix, gràcies a
elaboracions o projectes futurs.
